Hunting Lease Information & Guidelines
Lease Term Timeline
Our annual hunting lease agreements run from July 1 through June 30 of the following year, providing a full 12 months of access to your leased property.
Payment Due Dates by State
Lease renewal payment deadlines vary by state. Please ensure timely payment according to the following schedule:
- April 15: Virginia, West Virginia
- May 1: Georgia, Florida, South Carolina, Alabama, Louisiana
- June 1: Mississippi, Arkansas
Accepted Payment Methods
We offer multiple secure and convenient payment options:
- Online payments via credit/debit card or ACH transfer
- Certified check by mail
For ACH payments, your financial institution must be supported by our payment processor, and online banking access is required. Please note that large debit card transactions may require prior authorization from your bank.

All currently available hunting leases can be found at LegacyWildlife.com.
If you don’t see a property that meets your needs, we encourage you to submit a contact form outlining your preferences. You can also stay informed by following us on social media for the latest updates.
For priority access, consider joining our Legacy Wildlife Membership Program, which provides early notifications on new listings. In 2025, members received advance notice of 93 leases across 7 states, totaling more than 27,500 acres, with an average tract size of approximately 300 acres.
Hunt Club Member Management
Leaseholders can log in at any time to update their hunt club member list. Keeping this list current is essential for accurate communication and insurance coverage.
Insurance Coverage
Legacy Wildlife provides hunting lease liability insurance for all hunt clubs. This coverage is included in the lease price, offering added protection and peace of mind.
ATV Usage Policy
The use of all-terrain vehicles (ATVs) is permitted solely for hunting-related activities and must comply with all applicable laws and regulations.
Camping & Property Use
- Permanent structures are not permitted on leased properties.
- Temporary structures may be installed only with prior written approval.
- All installations must comply with applicable laws and are the responsibility of the hunt club.
Properties with Limited Access
Some properties may be designated as having limited or landlocked access, meaning they do not connect directly to a public roadway and lack deeded access.
In these cases, access requires permission from neighboring landowners. It is the responsibility of the hunt club to secure this access prior to use.
